Franchising To Continue Growth In 2016

Franchising Continues Growth

The Franchise Business Economic Outlook for 2016 report from IHS Economics for the International Franchise Association (IFA) found that economic growth among the franchise sector surpassed the rate of growth for non-franchise businesses among the entire economy. The improvement for the franchise industry is in part thanks to consumer spending and employment expansion. According to No Limit Agency Chief Brand Strategist Nick Powills, the unique approach franchises take to business has been one of the keys to their success.

Here are some other highlights from the report:

IFA President and CEO Robert Cresanti said “We are forecasting that for the sixth consecutive year, franchise businesses will grow at rates that exceed the economy-wide growth of industries where franchises are concentrated”. “Franchise businesses are showing tremendous capability to provide new jobs for working families and new businesses for first-time business owners across all sectors in local communities.”
In a report by ADP, it found that 2016 job growth in the U.S. franchise sector was up by 18,500 in February. While the numbers fell shy of those reported by ADP in January, when franchise jobs grew by 20,000, they still reflected the impact franchisees have in creating employment opportunities.

Happy Veterans Day…Thank You For Your Service

There are many reasons why people join the military, to get an education, to change socioeconomic situation, family legacy, etc. The one thing that is at the core to all these reasons is the willingness and understanding that military service may require the ultimate sacrifice.

Politicians make war but it is the  youngest of our men and women who fight them.  Unfortunately, sometimes it seems the same politicians are the ones who are the quickest to forget as they seek their next office or next reelection.  The 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War is upon us and it is only fairly recently that these men and women have begun to be remembered and recognized.

It is up to all of us as citizens to ensure that those who were selected or volunteered to serve are never forgotten and are held up for the heroes and true role models of America and to also ensure that the lessons learned from each new war are never repeated.

This day, Veterans Day is to honor all who served their country, for the families that have an empty chair at the table, for the ones that returned but never made it all the way home.  This is their day and on this day, please take a moment away from your day to think of what you can do, not only today, but everyday to honor those who served for the gifts they gave us all.  FREEDOM, LIBERTY, AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.

To all my brothers and sisters, THANK YOU!!
